Absolutely! Think of Learn It Live as a digital version of your local wellness center, yoga studio, or community center where you would hold an in-person workshop or class. We post your programs and help to advertise it within the offerings, drawing new potential students to your program. In the beginning, your existing audience and clientele will generally form the foundation of your learners, with our network adding to the volume. However, over time, as more and more people discover your live and recorded classes, you'll grow your base learners well beyond your current network.
Over the years, we've learned there are a variety of factors that contribute to class enrollment. Many of the factors are similar across the tech platforms with which you may be familiar.
For example:
- Instagram may have one billion users, but posting two images in one week doesn't mean you will be an instant influencer. However, if you regularly post quality content and use your current community to expand into other communities, you are destined to grow your network!
- Etsy and Ebay may have millions of customers, but that doesn't mean posting an obscure product at a high-price is going to sell. However, if you have a product that people are interested in, priced correctly, and a bunch of positive reviews so customers feel confident about buying, then you are well on your way for growth!
Here are considerations for getting new learners:
- Are you a household name or widely esteemed in your field?
- Yes: It will be easier to get students into your classes as they already know who you are, especially if priced correctly
- No: You may need to build your reviews and recommendations with your current audience that knows how amazing you are and will share and refer their community to you. Or, think about leading promotional/free sessions which are easier for new students to explore
- Is your program priced appropriately?
- Yes: You are much more likely to get students to attend your program
- No: You know what your content is worth, but students also have an idea about what they want to spend. EG. If you are selling a 1-hour meditation session for $150 you may not get a ton of registrants (Or, maybe that's the right price. See #1)
- Do you have reviews and recommendations for people to know how great you are?
- Yes: Social proof exists and reviews help guide people, whether on Amazon, Yelp, or Learn It Live
- No: You should encourage your community and current students to leave you reviews. And, consider running promotional/free classes to build your learner base
- Is your program described and targeted correctly?
- Yes: You have a well-written title, description, and even a 60-second intro video. Also, the time is set to maximize participation for the topic's target market. Great!
- No: If your class has a generic and confusing title like "Feeling First-Rate: How to Stay on Top of Your Game with 10 Yoga Postures to Thrive" and set for 4am EDT / 1am PDT, you might adjust it (EG "10 Yoga Postures to Thrive" at 9pm EDT / 6pm PDT). Or, maybe that first option works for you (See #1-#3)
There are a lot of variables that go into effectively building your community at Learn It Live. However, we are here to provide you both the platform to host and enhance exposure for your programs.
