Your name is automatically appended (aka hidden) by default and so only your last initial is shown. Therefore, John Doe appears as John D and Theresa May would be Theresa M, etc.. 

Your email is not shared with anyone publicly and no other information about you is available. However, you can edit your profile information to display whatever you want in the "Edit Profile" area of your account.
